Foxxfyrre's Black and White Sketch Book is a spot of the web where I can share my drawings with you and share the journey I took while learning to draw. I started to draw at 37 years of age, and since then have fallen in love with drawing.
Because I love drawing and learned as an adult, I've put this blog to purpose of helping others to find resources to help them learn and start their own journey.

GraffitiMyBlog Wall #9
This wall is from Lizza whose blog is entitled, I am Woman see me Blog. Lizza lives in the Philipines. Lizza writes about everything that her "not-so-sane mind comes up with". She classifies her occupation as a "blog lurker/stalker" and this is evident in her postings entitled Blogworld Saturday, where Lizza writes about the links she has enjoyed over the past week. I've done a bit of "bl-urking" lately, and I have to admit that I have been to many blogs where Lizza has posted comments where she has enjoyed the article. Lizza is well read, and very articulate (check out her book meme answers). She also has a great sense of humor. Her article on the F-word is just pure joy, and she doesn't use "*&%#" to buffer our sensiblilities (I'd like to borrow the neon sign for my office). So, please check out Lizza's I am Woman, See me Blog, and let her know you've seen her Graffiti Wall at Foxxfyrre's Graffiti-My-Blog.
Adult Colouring Pages
Adult colouring books are becoming more popular, and as their popularity grows so does the price tag. I just went and bought one for my wife and the price was well over $30 CAD. That's pretty steep as far as I'm concerned.
I bought it because I was hearing all the benefits of colouring for relaxation, mindfulness, and the like. I like to draw, and I am well aware of the benefits of drawing, but whether the benefits of drawing are similar in colouring I won't say for sure. You may want to read the article "Are You Having a Relationship with an Adult Coloring Book" in Psychology Today to gain further insight on the subject.
After paying the steep price for an adult colouring book, I thought I would search the web to find anything on the subject, and possible free to download colouring pages. And, well, there is tons of stuff out there. Two sites that I found are quite good and have lots of pages that you can download for free. Davidrd Colle…
First off, I think that I am caught up with all the Globes for the gallery for Mimi's Dona Nobis Pacem effort. Mimi Pencil Skirt is still reporting on the subject as we speak! And I have an excerpt from one of her reporter role models:
Now Mimi is on fire, furiously typing
and typing, and typing and drinking lots of
Actually both of us were burning at least one of these
(No, not books! Couldn't find decent candle pic). I would like to thank everyone that participated in Dona Nobis Pacem, for the gallery is wonderful. Mimi is happier than a P*& in S*&% over the response for the first ever run. I still have more linking to do, but I will get to it as fast as I can. Even though my role was small through the entire project, I found it unique, heartwarming, humbling...It was all that and more, and I'm already geared up for next year, but I will have (hopefully) better planning to handle 'many more' globes.
I know I'll be better prepared than this guy ever was!
